Weymouth harbour is a beautiful, charming and historic Georgian harbour which is bustling with boats and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Visitors can dine alfresco or sit and watch the activity go by on one of the harbour benches. Explore Weymouth Bay or try fishing trips from the harbour.

The majestic stretch of the pebble bank of the Jurassic Coast connects Portland to the mainland. We are at the entrance to this pebble bank which can be seen from the front drive.

Weymouth is well connected by rail, coach and bus services.

The Isle of Portland is famous for the Lighthouse, Castle, Naval and stunning coastal walks. We are close to local amenities, our dog friendly pub ‘The Wyke Smugglers’ is just up the road. There are cafes, shops, supermarkets, takeaways, bays, beaches & beautiful walks all around us. Smallmouth Bay is moments away, as are the Rodwell Trail, Sandsfoot Beach, Castle Cove and Portland Harbour.

Watch the sun set, fish, dive, windsurf, paddleboard, or take a stroll along Portland Marina to Portland Castle. Grab a coffee at the Beehive or book an hour at The Island Sauna to de-stress and relax.

Littlecot

Littlecot is a 4 bedroom cottage, set over three floors. Furnished caringly throughout and some rooms boasting sea views of Portland Harbour, Chesil Beach.

Internally this tastefully decorated and homely property, complete with granite worktops, oak flooring, wood burners, Tetrad sofas and stone inglenook fireplace make this house a cosy, fresh and relaxing base for exploring the nearby attractions.

Externally the fully enclosed courtyard garden provides a charming spot for al fresco dining, chilling with a good book or enjoying a morning coffee as you prepare for the day.

Dog Friendly

Littlecot is dog friendly, has a completely secure garden and is surrounded by beautiful coastal walks for you and your furry friends.

Smallmouth Bay is only a 5 minute walk away and there are many other coves and beaches.

There is a ‘Doggie Box’ with treats, towels and toys. Dogs are only allowed downstairs.

Things to do locally

Spend the day on the beach at the local Smallmouth Bay, enjoy the area to star gaze or take a walk on Chesil beach. Partake in your favourite water sport in Portland Harbour or take an afternoon stroll to Portland Marina and Castle.

Weymouth is only a short drive away (can be walked via Rodwell Trail) and has lots to offer. The Georgian seafront and famous golden sandy beach was awarded Best Beach in 2024. The vibrant harbour has many pubs and restaurants. Take a boat trip to Durdle Door or walk around the Nothe Fort. Visit Sealife Adventure Park, Monkey World, the Tank Museum or Swanage Steam Railway. Alternatively take in the Purbecks with its wonderful scenery. Visit the famous Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle and take a ride on the steam train.

Being home to some of the finest small boat sailing waters in Northern Europe, the Isle of Portland is an ideal setting for Sailing, windsurfing and diving.

Conveniently located on Portland Road just minutes from the National Sailing Academy, Littlecot was host to TeamGB during the 2012 Olympics , Damien Seguin during the 2012 Paralylmpics and the Spanish & Canadian National Sailing Team in World Championship events.
